WHAT IS HIS NAME?
Jamey D Stanworth
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MARRIED?
7 ½ years- Our wedding date has a little bit of meaning- we met the July before and our first date was on the 27th, so happens- July 27th, 2000
HOW LONG DID YOU DATE?
We dated 6 months, but we were engaged by month 2. We knew each other for 6 months before we started dating. A big group of us all hung out together, so we were friends first.
WHO SAID I LOVE YOU FIRST?
Jamey- We were watching a movie and I was falling a sleep when he said, “I think I’m falling in love with you.” The next day when I saw him I asked him if he really said that.
WHO SLEEPS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BED?
Jamey
WHO MOWS THE LAWN?
Jamey- I think this needs to be his job, since I have to take care of the inside. That’s really how I was raised. Although when I was a kid I loved moving the lawn.
WHO DRIVES?
Always Jamey- he gets car sick very easy, driving helps (he says).
WHO IS MORE STUBBORN?
Umm… Do I really have to answer this one? Of course it’s me!
WHO KISSED WHO FIRST?
I don’t remember, but I think Jamey kissed me first.
WHO ASKED WHO OUT FIRST?
Jamey called me when he was in Utah for his sister's wedding and asked if on December 27th, I wanted to go with him to an Av’s game. He had an extra ticket. (I think that the ticket really belonged to the ex-girlfriend.)
WHO PROPOSED?
Jamey and I first decided to get married the end of February just before he was to fly out of town for work. He then really proposed on March 25,2000 in a hot air balloon. It was very cool. When we landed he had some friends taking pictures and serenading us with our song. Plus he had 2 dozen red roses for me. It’s all on video- pretty fun!!
WHO WEARS THE PANTS?
Me again- I just like to do things my way.
WHY DO YOU LOVE HIM?
Wow- there are lots: He says “I love you” all the time and always kisses me goodbye before he leaves for work and when he arrives home, he is the best dad, anything I ask him to do he will, he works really hard for his family, he is very inventive, he is very supportive of me and my dreams, he lets me have things my way a lot, he is very easy going, he really makes me want to be a better person. Most of all, because he loves me unconditionally!!

The C Word
This is the seventh time in eighteen years that a doctor has told a family member of mine that they have CANCER. Last night my mom called to tell me that the mass the doctors found on my grandmother's liver is malignant. We don’t have very much information right now, but the blow I felt is indescribable. Eighteen years ago she was able to fight breast cancer, and has been in remission ever since. Now at the age of 81 she has been told that once again she has a tumor and it is cancerous. I have already lost both of my paternal grandparents to different types of cancer. (My grandfather passed away almost exactly one year ago to bone cancer.) Both my mother and mother-in-law fought different types of cancer at the same time six years ago. I feel like cancer has completely plagued my family and my little world. I wish that there was an easy cure- I HATE CANCER!

Can You Take The Challenge?
Some of you may have already received this through email, but if you have not I wanted to post it here as well. I think that this would be a wonderful goal and challenge. I would personally like to add to it, trying to make it to the temple once a month. We are pretty regular about going, but I want to make a conscience effort of going once a month. Hopefully many of you will also take this challenge on!! This is the email I received-
As most of you know, our beloved prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley passed away at the age of 97. His funeral was on Saturday, February 2nd.
I was thinking of how I could honor his legacy and I came up with an idea. My friend and I have created a challenge for those willing to accept it: Read the Book of Mormon in 97 days. We are trying to get everyone to start on the same day.
Here are the details:
* Go to http://www.hinckleychallenge.com/ and create an account (free, of course).
* On Feb 4, 2008 (the Monday following the funeral) have an FHE lesson on the Book of Mormon and begin your reading.
* Each day you read, record what page number you are on by going to http://www.hinckleychallenge.com/.
We would like this challenge to be heard all around the world! We would love to see over 1 million pages of the Book of Mormon read by the time this challenge has ended. Do you want to show your support? Do you want to follow the prophet? Do you want to get rid of all of your excuses for not reading and become a warrior? Then join me in this challenge!!!
We are going to spread this throughout the news media (TV and radio) and we've already contacted Fox news, KSL, CBS, and ABC. But we cannot get the word out to everyone without your help! Please forward this on to EVERYONE in your address book. Time is of the essence!! This will be the one forwarded message that everyone will be happy to get :).

P.S. You can always see an updated list of those who have accepted the challenge by clicking here (www.hinckleychallenge.com/warriors.php)

Phil Says...
Here Ye! Here Ye! Here Ye!
On Gobbler's Knob on this fabulous Groundhog Day, February 2nd, 2008 Punxsutawney Phil, the Seer of Seers, Prognosticator of all Prognosticators,Rose to the call of President Bill Cooper and greeted his handlers, Ben Hughes and John Griffiths.
After casting a weathered eye toward thousands of his faithful followers,Phil consulted with President Cooper and directed him to the appropriate scroll, which proclaimed:
"As I look around me, a bright sky I see, and a shadow beside me.Six more weeks of winter it will be!"
- Yes! Punxsutawney Phil is the only true weather forecasting groundhog. The others are just impostors.
- How often is Phil's prediction correct? 100% of the time, of course!
- How many "Phils" have there been over the years? There has only been one Punxsutawney Phil. He has been making predictions for over 120 years!
- Punxsutawney Phil gets his longevity from drinking the "elixir of life," a secret recipe. Phil takes one sip every summer at the Groundhog Picnic and it magically gives him seven more years of life.
- On February 2, Phil comes out of his burrow on Gobbler's Knob - in front of thousands of followers from all over the world - to predict the weather for the rest of winter.
- According to legend, if Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter weather. If he does not see his shadow, there will be an early spring.
- No! Phil's forecasts are not made in advance by the Inner Circle. After Phil emerges from his burrow on February 2, he speaks to the Groundhog Club president in "Groundhogese"(a language only understood by the current president of the Inner Circle). His proclamation is then translated for the world.
- The celebration of Groundhog Day began with Pennsylvania's earliest settlers. They brought with them the legend of Candlemas Day, which states, "For as the sun shines on Candlemas Day, so far will the snow swirl in May..."
- Punxsutawney held its first Groundhog Day in the 1800s. The first official trek to Gobbler's Knob was made on February 2, 1887.
- So the story goes, Punxsutawney Phil was named after King Phillip. Prior to being called Phil, he was called Br'er Groundhog.
