Olympics

I know that I haven't posted in a while. The reason? Nothing exciting is happening around here. We spent the last 2 weeks like most of the world watching the Olympics. The USA team is amazing. While watching one night (after the Cuban taekwondo kicked the ref) the news reporter said something like this; 'Because after all the number one rule in taekwondo is, you can not kick the referee in the head.' Jamey and I started laughing, uh duh. I looked all over NBC's website trying to find the clip because hearing him say it was pretty funny.

Jamey found it- Enjoy a good laugh. How did Jim Lampley say that with a straight face?!

First Day of Kindergarten

Well the day has finally arrived, and Spencer is at school- ALL DAY!! His school schedule is all day on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then in the afternoon on Fridays. He was just as excited to go to school this morning as we were. He decided what he wanted to take for lunch- which wasn't hard since his favorite food is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Then after breakfast he cooperated so well in getting dressed and brushing his teeth. Jamison then wanted to brush his teeth as well. So I got him started and walked in Spencer's room to get him his shirt when I heard Jamison throwing up. Yep- ones off to school and the other one is whiny and sick. I just hope that means that his nap today will be a real good one. I decided that for the first day I would take Spencer to school and then starting on Thursday he can ride the bus. He is very excited about that. We just hope that he has a good day and listens well to the teacher.

Another Sign...

...that our little boy is growing up WAY too fast.

About 5 days ago Spencer lost his first tooth!! I have felt way too busy to have time to sit down and blog about it, but we were so excited for him. On Sunday he felt it was loose, but Jamey thought that he had some time before it would come out. Then triumphantly he ran into our room Tuesday morning saying- "I pulled it out, YEAH!" So that night the tooth fairy stopped by and gave him $2- to his response- "I got two green moneys, I wanted two quarters though". Can you tell that our son has no idea about money?!

(Sorry about the serious nostril shot)

Also school starts in about a week and I can not tell you how excited I am for that. Between the fighting/teasing with Jamison and the disobeying I think school will be a great thing. Our school does kindergarten two full days and one half day- so he will go to school all day on Tuesday and Thursday and then Friday afternoon. Which will be great, because I work on Tuesday and Thursday- (and I just changed so I will work on Fridays instead of Mondays) and then also Friday afternoons Jamison will nap. We went earlier this week and bought all the school supplies (to which I now I understand why my mom complained about the expense- and she had 5- I couldn't believe how much money it cost) and a new lunch box. I told him that he could use his Lego backpack one more year. He was OK with that until we got to the store and he saw all the cool backpacks. Thus the whining and complaining begun-did I already tell you how excited I am for school to start?!!!

Memories

My friends Tirsa did this on her blog and I wanted to play along too- so here is a fun new blogging game:

1. Leave one memory that you and I (or Jamey) had together as a comment on my blog. It doesn't matter if you know us/me/him a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
