New Years Eve

We kind of celebrated all afternoon and then late into the 'morning'. Because our friends Robb and Kris were leaving for the Dominican Republic on New Years morning we did our count down at 6pm. The kids had a little sparkly juice, cheered glasses and yelled Happy New Year. Then we left shortly after to let them go to bed.
On our way home we stopped and grabbed a sitter, then went to another party. Chris and Jolayne hosted a 'rockin' good evening. We did a little game playing, gift exchange and some Rock Band. I have never played before, but it was so fun!!

Finally at 1am we thought we had better go and get our poor little babysitter home. Happy New Year!!

Christmas!

Yes I am FINALLY getting around to blogging about Christmas. I was so happy to get to host Christmas Eve at my house. We had a very yummy dinner with my sister and her family and my parents.

After dinner we have a tradition to make sugar cookies for Santa. We have done it for a couple of years now and the boys really love doing it. This year Reid got to join in on the fun...
and so did my parents. They went from icing cookies to trying to ice each others faces.
Our family picture just before going to bed on Christmas Eve.

And Christmas morning Santa did find our house. Jamison got a motorized scooter.
Spencer got his ImangineX Batman Cave.
My parents stayed the night with us so they could be with us Christmas morning and watch the kids open presents. It was so fun having them. We had a wonderful Christmas!!

Santa Came To Visit

I think we live in a pretty neat little town. Every year the fire trucks and ambulances come with Santa right to our front door. So tonight I was fixing dinner when I kept hearing loud sirens. I finally looked out the window and there were tons of flashing lights. I opened the door to see what all the commotion was, only to hear loud Christmas music playing. I quickly yelled at the boys to come see who was here. Jamison was so giddy at the sight of Santa. Spencer waited very patiently and even ran back inside to grab coats for he and Jamison. Spencer was also very concerned that his friend Sophie across the street wasn't outside, so he ran over to her house to tell her about Santa. He soon found out the reason she wasn't outside was because she wasn't home. He was very sad that she missed seeing Santa. Maybe next year. Anyway here are the boys enjoying the visit with Santa.

Little Here, a Little There

Sadly again this poor blog just get neglected too much lately. We have been super busy trying to get things done and ready for Christmas. I'm not sure why this month is always the busiest. It makes getting into the spirit of Christmas so much harder knowing there are SO many things to do or get done.

I was able to enjoy a bit of a break on Friday. I left the kids and Jamey for a night to enjoy a girl's weekend for my friend Kris's birthday. We went down Friday and stayed at a hotel in Lone Tree. We ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory then went bowling and played lazer tag. What a hoot!! It has been YEARS since I did that and we very much enjoyed ourselves. Then Saturday was a FULL day of shopping at two different outlet malls.

Our little baby Everett got his first tooth. Again just like the other two boys we have no idea when it actually popped through. Jamey just found it at church today. Everett had been a bit sick with a cold last week, so those symtoms might have masked the tooth. We are just glad that Jamey noticed the tooth before one of my family members did. Ever since we found out that he was lactose intolerant and changed his formula he has been a different baby. He gained 1 pound and 7 ounces in one month. It took him 2 months to even gain 1 pound between month 4 and 6. Huge improvement!! He is now a snugly little guy, almost sitting up 100% on his own and before we know it he will be crawling over all the place. Time just goes way too fast!!!
