Fun, Fun, Fun!!

Everett is almost 11 months old and he is growing faster than anything. He is now a pro at climbing the stairs, however he doesn't know how to come down- so this causes quite a problem. If he can't find me the first place he goes is to my room and sits in the middle of my bedroom and cries until someone goes and gets him. He sure looks happy though, right?!

He also LOVES opening cupboard doors. Some days I just don't care to fight with him, so I let him play, other days I don't have the patience to clean up the mess so I don't let him open the doors, to which a crying fit results. Can you believe those curls? Aren't they the cutest things in the world? He takes after his dad with the unbelievable sensitive and dry skin too- not fun!

I hosted BUNKO this last month and I thought it would be so fun to have a little theme. I have loved the hats that women wear to the Kentucky Derby, so that is what I went for. I asked everyone to make some sort of hat. The bigger and more obnoxious the better. Some people really went all out!! Other than the 'southern' (baked) fried chicken, nothing else in the evening resembled the derby, but just being with the girls is all that matters!! (Thanks for the pictures Jo!!)

Happy Birthday...

... to my sweet little boy!! Jamison turned 4 today and we had the best time celebrating. First on Saturday we went to Red Robin for some lunch then we headed to the bowling alley. He picked out what he wanted to do and what kind of birthday to have- so of course it was a 'Cars' party. Funny thing was that when Spencer turned 4 we did the exact same thing- bowling alley with a 'Cars' theme.

We kept telling Jamison that he couldn't have a birthday because we didn't want him to get any bigger. He is so fun with a big smile and usually just happy all the time. He is very easy going and our little lover. He constantly gives hugs and kisses to all of us. Every time someone told him happy birthday he replied with a very polite 'thank you'. He truly is the sweetest little boy!

So Glad It's Over

I have been needing to sit down and make a new post for quite some time, but just haven't taken the time. Jamey and I were talking last night and we came to the same conclusion- we are so glad the last two weeks are over!! Have you had those weeks that nothing seems go right? Well we had two in a row. I will just give a quick recap:
Sunday March 31st- Everett burned the tips of his right hand touching my parents wood burning fireplace. The blisters were the sized of his little fingers. It was impossible to keep his fingers out of his mouth, but we tried. The two worst blisters popped a day later, leaving big open sores that ended up bleeding. No one slept all week, because Everett kept waking up when he touched those fingers on something.
Monday February 1st- Spencer's parent teacher conference. It was not a wonderful conversation. Let's just say he has some serious work to do- it has been hard on everyone in the family, but in only two short weeks we are already seeing HUGE improvements. Plus unfortunately he takes after his mom way too much, and he has a hard time staying in his seat and staying focused. He likes to talk to his friends. :)
Tuesday February 2nd- Jamey's grandmother passed away. She was the only grandparent either of us had left living. She had not been well for some time, so we are counting our blessings that we decided to go visit her last July. She was doing fairly well and we had a wonderful visit with her.Wednesday February 3rd- My fourth hard drive in 6 months crashed! What the heck is going on with my hard drives?! I spent more hours than I would like to count trying my hardest to save all my scrapbooking stuff. Jamey is amazing and he also spent several hours helping me. I can't imagine what is going on- I got a new computer in December after the other 3 hard drives died. I was convinced it was the computer. Now I have no idea what is going on, but I now know that I am going to spend several more hours burning everything on DVDs because hard drives are not my friend.
Thursday February 4th- This was a fun night!! I had the chance to go to Legally Blonde the musical at the Buell Theater. It was so fun and the group was awesome!Saturday February 6th- Another fun night- we were invited to a couples bunko party. Jamey had only played one other time, but just being with friends was a blast!!
Sunday February 7th- We got up early and drove the kids to my parents church before we made a very fast trip to Utah for the funeral. Attended the funeral on Monday morning and then headed back home on Tuesday. The weather was very good- we didn't have any bad conditions. To which we were to very thankful. Traveling in the winter months things are so hit and miss. However on the way home Jamey got busted (as our boys would say) and now we owe the state of Wyoming $100. Great way to end the trip.
Wednesday February 10th- We came home to find the two little boys very sick. My poor mom also had no sleep because they were both up every night with horrible coughs. Jamey took the boys in to the doctor because we thought for sure they also had ear infections, but lucky they did not. We then spent the rest of the week with little sleep while they both fought the sickness off.
Friday February 12th- I had bunko, but Jamey had to work late to do some upgrades for work and an eagle court of honor for one of the boys he used to work with while he was in young mens. I probably should have stayed home from bunko, but wanted a night out after a week of dealing with sick little ones, so I got a babysitter. After bunko was over I sat and talked with a very good friend for over two hours in my car. I thought I had turned the car off, and indeed I had turned off the motor, I just had not turned it off completely. So when we finally decided we needed to go to bed- my battery was dead on my car. Dead beyond just jumping it and now we have to get a new battery for the car. Maybe it was just time...
Saturday February 13th- Jamey and I were both very excited for our night out to celebrate Valentines Day. Our stake was hosting an adult Valentines dance and we had dinner reservations before hand. Earlier in the afternoon I had a baptism for a boy in my primary class to attend. Those don't take very long- so I thought I'd be home in an hour and half. Before I left Jamey got a call from work that the network was completely down. He has Mondays off and had plans with Spencer to go snowboarding. He didn't want to cancel his plans on Monday, so he thought that he would go to work after I got home from the baptism and before dinner. It was a nice thought, but the baptism ended up being an hour and half- some miscommunication. My thought of an hour and half start to finish ended up being over 3 hours. By the time I got home there was not enough time for Jamey to go to work. We then decided that we would just run down to his work after dinner and hope to make it to the dance for the end. That might have worked, but Jamey forgot his badge and we had to wait for over 25 minutes for one of his co-workers to come and let us in. By the time he finished the dance was over and it was too late to go to a movie or anything else. We just decided to go home- however we forgot that while we were waiting for the co-worker the car dinged that we needed gas. We made it two miles before a gas station and we ran out of gas!! We had just talked the whole way home and forgot! We have the best friends in the world and at 11:30 at night they came to our rescue and gave us some gas to get home. We tried so hard to just sit and laugh at the numerous things that had occurred over the last two weeks. I took the babysitter home, and as I was on my way home I decided that Jamey's ticket sounded fun (I guess) and now I get to pay the city of Firestone $100. When I walked in the door at 12:30am, I told Jamey I just give up! Here's to hoping that Valentines Day starting off the week would be a turn in a good direction for us. I don't think I can handle another week like the last two!!!

Help is Needed

My dear friend Kris is trying earn money to go to Peru with her sister on medical humanitarian trip. She is having a Pampered Chef catalog party:

Now, heres the cool part. I am going to have a mystery host. For everyone who places an order of $30 or more, your name will go in a drawing and before I close the show, I will pick out the winner who will be the host and get all the free products, ½ price items, free shipping, and 10% off for a year. Now, the bonus about doing this in January is that the host special is 50% more free products than usual. So if I have a $500 show, instead of $90 in free product, you get $135. Make sense?

Also, as always, I will pay ½ of the additional shipping if you are an out-of-stater. For those interested the current guest special is: spend $60 and get the mini-serving spatula OR the slice-n-serve OR the large serving spatula for free.

I have to close this show by Monday at the latest so I can use the awesome January host special for our winner. So please let me know soon if you have questions, need a catalog, or want to make an order. You can also see the products at www.pamperedchef.com.

She is also making these super crocheted flower clips:

So if you want something leave a comment and I will get you Kris's email address. She can make them however you want- color, size, etc. Help her raise money!!
