Donations needed (Please!)

My wife and I will be running an "amazing race" in Denver to raise money for Down Syndrome awareness, and to benefit those with Down Syndrome. We need to raise $2000 to run the race. But the more we raise, the more head start we get over teams that stop at $2000. So please forward this on to co-workers, family and friends, any mailing list you have, that you won't get in trouble for sending it to!

You can see more information about the non-profit organization on their website: http://www.savannahsrace.org/. (Click About Us, and then Company to see their Tax-Exempt ID number. Even $20 helps, and if we can get a few of you to throw down $100, we'll win for sure!

To donate:
1. Simply go to the website link http://www.savannahsrace.org/
2. Click the donate link in the upper right corner of the site
3. On that page you'll click the PayPal donate now button
4. When the Paypal site comes up, enter the dollar amount you wish to donate
5. If you have a Paypal account, login, OR if you don't, in the lower left corner you'll click continue link for those wanting to pay via credit card
6. Now the KEY to TEAM STANWORTH getting credit for your donation is that you click the special instructions link, and type in TEAM STANWORTH.
7. Finish your transaction, and thank you for your support!

Why do I care? My little brother Kris has Down Syndrome. When he was born I remember sitting in science class talking about Down Syndrome, and the life expectancy was 8! That was a long time ago, Kris is about to celebrate his 24th birthday! Without programs like this, it's very possible that people born with Down Syndrome would be put in the corner and forgotten about, or aborted without a chance to live. But these people can have a life! Kris goes to "college" a work school program where he works in different industries while learning life skills. He's had a lot of great opportunities. And these programs desperately need funding to continue, especially in this economy.

So please donate. You need a tax deduction anyway right? Give back to those in need.

Go now, donate please. http://www.savannahsrace.org/

Thanks,
Jamey

What a neat cause! The kids with Downs are my very favorite at work (because a high percentage end up with heart defects, too). They have amazingly sweet dispositions. Good luck with reaching your goal!!
