Past- Present- Future

I saw this on Brigit’s blog- forever ago- and wanted to do it. Now this is also really going to show my age and how young I am, but here it is.

20 years ago - 1988

  • I finally was an official member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. (I was baptized!)
  • My family moved out to Eaton- an old farm house with an acre of land and a big red barn included
  • My littlest brother was born. I loved and adored him.

10 years ago - 1998

  • I graduated from High School
  • Started my career by going to beauty school
  • Moved in with my grandparents and experienced life in the big city of Denver- stores were 5 minutes away, a big contrast to 20 or 30 minutes
  • I had my wisdom teeth removed
  • I under went the first nose surgery- which I later found out only increased my problems.

5 Years Ago - 2003

  • My first little baby boy, Spencer turned 1!
  • We were adjusting to life in Firestone
  • Jamey sold Velocity Services (a small business consulting business)
  • We finished our basement and I started my home business
  • Jamey and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary and I got my anniversary band custom made to fit my wedding ring

1 Year Ago - 2007

  • We moved into our new house that we spent a year building
  • My baby boy, Jamison turned 1!
  • Spencer was in pre-school
  • I had my second nose surgery and it has changed my life!
  • Jamey was apparently not busy enough and became the YM president
  • I decided to only work from home- after 6 years I quit working at the salon

6 Months Ago - Fall 2007

  • Spencer started his second year in pre-school- this time 4 days a week!
  • My boys learned what being brothers is all about, and the fighting began
  • Jamey marked a year working for BAE and coped with the commute to Denver
  • Jamison went to Nursery at church

So Far This Year - 2008

  • Jamison turned 2 and is finally saying some words instead of just babbling
  • I started digital scrapbooking and LOVE IT! Now there is a chance my boys will have scrapbooks when they leave home.
  • We increased the size of our vehicle by buying a Suburban
  • I am busier than I ever have been, business is going good
  • Jamey sold his motorcycle :(

What is next for this year?

  • I get a weekend away in two weeks to go to Women’s Conference
  • Spencer will turn 6 and officially start public school by attending kindergarten
  • I have my 10 year high school reunion
  • Jamey will start a new contract with BAE and will increase his commute to DTC
  • We’re going to Puerto Vallarta in October without kids!!!

This was fun, so I think some of you should give it a try- so let’s see it!

Growing Up

So we gave the 'big bed' a try last night. It went pretty well. Jamison didn't get out of bed once, even though Spencer did several times. The bad part- I sure don't like waking up at 5:30 in the morning. Jamison fell out of bed and hit his head, so he was crying and Spencer was following right behind him. I tried to get the boy to go back to bed, but no such luck. I guess we will keep working on this. I have always loved the idea of my little boys sharing a room. Maybe soon they will be. :)

The Rest of Spring Break

So on the second day of Spring Break we just hung out most of the morning, and then after Jamison's nap we headed to Denver to pick Jamey up from work. Then we went as a
family to the Children's Museum. The first Tuesday of every month is free from 4pm to 8pm. It was pretty packed, but the boys enjoyed themselves none the less. We were having a great time until Spencer jumped off a tree limb (which of course mom told him to stop doing) and hurt his arm. Then with very big tears and yelling he said he wanted to go home. We couldn't get him to settle down, so we left. We finished the night eating dinner at Spencer's favorite restaurant- the Cracker Barrel. It's really all about eating breakfast for dinner and getting a toy when he is done.

The third and fourth day were pretty uneventful. On Wednesday we went with GG to Sams Club and lunch after. I was able to come home and get a few household things done while Jamison napped and Spencer unwound. On Thursday I spent the whole day working. I wanted to take some time off work this week, but knew I needed to work a little with all the kids in the area having Spring Break. I also tried to tackle my very large and growing pile of ironing. I got about half way through, we'll see when that gets finished.

On the last day of Spring Break- we took a very unexpected trip to Utah. Jamey's brother needed a new computer and some serious help trying to get it all set up and so we jumped in the car and headed out. This was a perfect weekend to be spontaneous, because of General Conference neither Jamey or I had any church responsibilities to take care of. So here we are fixing a computer and trying to finish up quickly so we can leave to come back home early tomorrow morning. (Brett and Amanda- please don't be hurt that we didn't call, with only one day to be out here there just wasn't time.) Both Jamey and I have to be back for work on Monday- so once again we made a very fast trip out. But it was good seeing Jamey's family and getting to spend Jeff's birthday with him. The first time in 7 1/2 years that we have been able to do that. Now back to 'REAL LIFE'.

Blog Roll

Because now both my family and friends have made comments about me taking their blogs off my sidebar, I thought I better explain why I did. I was getting the feeling that I had way too many people's blogs on there and it was getting overwelming trying to adding new ones. I love reading so many people's blogs that I signed up with this RSS feed from Chris' blog. (If your interested in it, it's a free download and lets you know when some updates their blogs, so you don't waste precious clicks checking up on people *Kris) Anyway- I knew I couldn't just take off a few and leave a few, so I just took everyone off. I left websites that I visit and any family or friends that have 'websites' I have put them on my sidebar. So please do not be offended if your blog is missing, I'm still reading and checking up on you!!
